Better Broken
This project was a step into my dreams as an editor and cinematographer for music videos. This project also follows the theme of tracking the experiences of a summer with my friends from my point of view.
Authentic Pines
Pictured is a band from my hometown in the suburbs of Chicago. Going to high school with a few members of the band as well as knowing them through the small town social network allowed me to listen to their music early on. As a fan, I reached out, explaining who I am. I then asked if I could use their song for the backing track of my own “home movie” type music video. The band was happy to permit the use of their song and were extremely courteous throughout the process.
My friends
The friends throughout this video have been in my life for years. I make projects like this with the goal of being able to look back on the videos and transport myself to the summers of my younger years.
